Tomato Pesto Panini



2 slices bread

1 tablespoon softened butter

1 tablespoon pesto sauce

2 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese

2 slices tomato



  1. Spread one of the slices of bread with butter, and place it onto a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread pesto on the top of the bread slice, and then put the slices of provolone cheese and the tomato slices onto the pesto
  3. Spread what is left of the pesto onto the second bread and put it on top of the rest of the sandwich. Butter the top of the slice.
  4. Fry each side of the bread for about 3 minutes each until cheese is melted and it is golden brown.
