Steak with Herb Butter

Ingredients

  • 4 7oz Sirloin Steak
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped tarragon
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped thyme
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 medium shallots, minced
  • 1 teaspoon course ground pepper

Directions

  1. Be sure the butter is at room temperature when beginning.
  2. Combine the parsley, tarragon, thyme, then pepper. Add butter and mix until butter is well combined.
  3. Use plastic wrap to cover the butter in a log shape and place in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  4. When steaks are done cooking, top them with a 1/2 inch slice of the refrigerated herb butter before serving.
