Italian Sausage and Onion Pizza



1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 sweet onion

1/2 pound Marino Sausage Crumble

1 cup marinara sauce

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Pizza dough



  1. On medium heat, melt the butter in a large pan. Add onion slices. Stir so the slices become individual pieces. Cook about 5 minutes as you stir occasionally. Turn down heat to medium-low and cook until onions are tender and caramelized (for about 15 to 20 minutes). Set these aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 500 F. Add the sausage to the pan and put heat to medium. Cook for about 5-8 minutes. Drain and then put to the side.
  3. Add a thin layer of marinara on top. Then add the sausage and most of the onions, followed by the cheese, and the rest of the onions.
  4. Bake until crust is crispy and cheese is slightly golden brown.
