Tiramisu
Ferraro Tiramisu


Ingredients

  • 4 extra large eggs - separated
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 5 espresso cups of espresso coffee
  • 3 espresso cups of coffee liqueur
  • Lady Fingers
  • Cocoa Powder


Cream

Beat egg whites with mix master until stiff. Place in bowl and put aside. Beat egg yolks and sugar until creamy. Add mascarpone cheese to mixture and continue to beat. Add beaten egg whites to mixture and continue to beat. Put cream aside.


Construction

Mix espresso and coffee liqueur in bowl. Dip lady fingers in coffee mixture and roll, don’t soak. Line lady fingers in bottom of tray. Spread half of the cream mixture over ladyfingers. Repeat 2nd layer of ladyfingers. Spread remaining cream mixture on top. Sprinkle top with cocoa powder. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
