Every great success story starts from a humble beginning. Ferraro Foods is no exception. Established in 1975 in Greenbrook, New Jersey, and named after its founder and original owner, Ferraro Foods initially operated out of a small garage with a single truck. The vision was to become the premier supplier to the Italian pizza trade, selling not only quality products, but premier service.
Michael Giammarino continued this vision when he took ownership in October 1985. Growing up in Brooklyn New York, his passion for the Italian food trade began at a young age while working in a local Salumeria on 18th Avenue. When he was presented with the opportunity to own and operate his own company, Michael took this passion and knowledge he had for food and began to grow the business. He moved his family to New Jersey, and eventually settled on a new location in Edison. Through hard work, a dedicated team of associates, and an emphasis on family values and principles, Ferraro Foods quickly became recognized by the local pizzeria as the most dependable and service oriented distributor in the marketplace.
In 2002, Ferraro Foods opened its 135,000 square foot headquarter facility in Piscataway New Jersey, and two years later opened up a second location in High Point, North Carolina.
Today our state of the art fleet has grown to over 100 tractor trailers which span the eastern United States. They transport not only products designated for the Italian trade, but over 4,000 items that cater to a number of different concepts and restaurant establishments. However, even after 35 years, the focus of the company has remained unchanged.
Our mission is to consistently be the leading Italian Food distributor in the marketplace delivering quality food products, value, and reliable service to the Italian restaurant and pizzeria segment, as well as numerous other concepts.
